A Person Stands On A Bathroom Scale

In a tour conductor an electric current, the ratio of potential difference applied to the ends of the conductor and the intensity of current flowing through it, is a constant quantity, which depends on the driver, called resistance.
I = V / R
A driver meets Ohm's law only if the VI curve is linear, ie if R is independent of V and I. The ratio "R = V / I" remains the general definition of the resistance of a conductor, whether it is complying with the law of Ohm.
Where, using the International System units:
I = current in amperes (A)
V = potential difference in volts (V)
R = resistance in ohms (Ω).
