Over time, conventional blinds (the manual type), they deteriorate, they lose effectiveness or suffer the belt breaks.
To replace it you must do the following:
1. Remove the lid of the box by removing the screws that hold it.
2. Attach the new belt around the cylinder or collection of the blind, which must remain fully wound. To achieve this we must lock with a small object such as a cork or a wedge. Also necessary to check how the belt is attached to the shaft. You typically get insured with screws or a knot on top. If so, will remove it with the help of scissors.
3. Remove the bottom of the chute. With a screwdriver we get the dustpan and will release the tape that we want to renew. It will not be necessary to remove the drum collection, simply unscrew and remove the belt completely screw.
4. Insert the new belt. We will follow the same procedure to remove it but in reverse. That is, start by securing one end of the cylinder collected by means of a screw, load the spring going around the cylinder and tighten the belt around it.
5. Screw the collector to the wall. In now we must be careful that the tape does not get at all, for what you can put a clamp on the end protruding. It then puts out the amount of tape needed for reaching into the drawer of the blind and attached to the reel or cylinder. Make sure the knot is fully attached to it.
6. Remove caps and place the lid of the box, making sure beforehand that the new belt works perfectly.
